Vivo IPL 2021 will commence on April 9th, 2021, and is going to offer nonstop entertainment to all the cricket lovers of the world for about a month and a half. The thirteenth season of IPL has happened just a few months ago between September and November after a repeated postponement due to the Pandemic. This season IPL is scheduled as it was the way before the pandemic with minor changes like 6 venues instead of 8 and no audience in the stands.

Chennai Super Kings, led by MS Dhoni is one of the strongest teams of the Indian Premier League and has been to the finals more than any of the 8 teams. The franchise gathered a massive fan base partially due to MS Dhoni and partially due to its incredible performance in every season. But, in IPL 2020, Chennai Super Kings ended up on the 7th spot in the points table and it was heart-breaking for every fan of IPL.

In IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings will play its first match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against Delhi capitals on the 10th of April 2021. CSK Captian M.S Dhoni-led team has won three IPL titles in 2010,2011,2018. CSK is the only team to reach so many times to the playoff and the finals. The team is expected to come back stronger than ever this year and it had made many changes in its personnel accordingly.

In the mini Auction, CSK had released six players from their team. They are Shane Watson, Monu Sing, Piyush Chawla, Harbajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav and they took in Krishnappa Gowtham at Rs. 9.25 crore, all-rounder Moeen Ali for Rs. 7 crores, CheteshwarPujara for 50 Lakhs, and some of the new players like Harisankar, Bhagvath.

CSK skipper MS Dhoni possesses considerable experience. He knows his team extremely well and understands match situations effectively. He is reputed to know the strengths and weaknesses of every player and use them accordingly.

Also, the return of Suresh Raina and Bravo provides more strength to the CSK team. Raina has been one of the most productive batsmen for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL for some time, as well as scoring the most runs so far ahead of the rest of the competition. Along with Bravo, CSK also has Ravindra Jadeja, who is an excellent finisher and powerful batsmen.

The team also possesses Sam Curran who stole the spotlight in recent England vs India matches. With such powerful players and with a bowling lineup led by the experienced Imran Tahir, and comprising Shardul Thakur, Lungi Ngidi, Josh Hazelwood, etc., CSK might be back in all its glory.
