Dog Who Lost Puppies In A Barn Fire Is Now A Foster Mom

This is Daisy. She recently lost her puppies in a tragic barn fire.

“We tried to run to the barn but it was too late. We had to hold Daisy as she tried to run into [it],” the mama dog’s owner Jessica Woodruff told Buzzfeed.

After that incident, Daisy was always sad and depressed. “She wasn’t really eating, was walking down to the barn whining and sitting down. My heart broke for this new mom — that’s all she wanted.”

Woodruff then decided to do something to help take care of Daisy, to give her meaning and purpose again. She started posting messages over social media asking if anyone had puppies in need of a foster mom.

Lorna Murphy soon contacted her. Her dog, Chloe, had recently passed away in childbirth, leaving behind eight orphaned puppies in need of a mother’s love.

As soon as Daisy saw the puppies she lit up with joy. She is now nursing the puppies.

They will soon be returned home after they’ve been weaned, but at least for now these puppies have found a mother, and vice versa.
